MDSI (Lawrenceville, GA) announced that it will broadcast its newest MAX Online Education (MOE) learning module: “IDNs Taking on Self Distribution: How Suppliers and Distributors Fit In” via a webinar on November 30 and December 14. The 50-minute module will be available to MOE library card holders on November 28. For those who don’t already have access to MOE, it will be condensed to 40 minutes for the webinar broadcast and allow time for Q&A. The module helps suppliers better understand why some health systems, such as UPMC (Pittsburgh, PA), Intermountain Healthcare (Salt Lake City, UT), WellStar Health System (Marietta, GA), North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System (Great Neck, NY), and more, are trending toward various forms of self-distribution. It defines four different distribution models, explains why some work better for certain health systems, and illustrates how distributors and manufacturers fit into the various scenarios including those positioning for physician alignment of alternate sites.
Registration for the special viewing opportunity is $100 and ideal for those who don’t already have a MAX license or MOE library card.
