October 14, 2024- Many hospitals and health systems have mobilized to provide support for those impacted by Hurricane Milton. The Humana Foundation has donated toward relief and healing efforts in wake of the second Hurricane to hit Florida in two weeks, according to a recent press release. The steps the company took for Hurricane Helene will be the same for Hurricane Milton, and the company will again aid members, provide access to medical and emergency prescription information, and continue access to a crisis hotline with free counseling.
Walgreens also stated in a press release that the company is focused on the safety and well-being of its patients, customers and team members and have taken precautions to support areas impacted by Hurricane Milton. Walgreens have positioned resources and are actively deploying them as needed.
HCA Healthcare stated in a LinkedIn post that “it is our priority to take care of our patients as well as each other.
