January 12, 2021 – Vizient, Inc. (Irving, TX) received a four-year accreditation status from Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE), the gold standard process for continuing education activities for medical professionals.
Obtaining IPCE accreditation status assures health professionals and the public that continuing education (CE) offerings meet the standards of Joint Accreditation’s sponsoring organizations.
Vizient is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education, and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Last year, Vizient provided 596 continuing education courses, and members received 23,031 hours of accredited continuing education.
Vizient provides CE to its member hospitals and academic medical centers throughout the U.S., including: nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, physicians and other professionals in the healthcare team (healthcare executives, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, quality improvement professionals, supply chain management professionals).
The accreditation is valid through July 2024.
