October 18, 2024- Mary Beth L. Jenkins has been named president and CEO of UPMC Health Plan, president, UPMC Insurance Services Division, and executive vice president of UPMC. Effective Jan. 1, she will take the helm of the UPMC health insurance companies, the second largest provider-sponsored insurer in the nation, serving over 4 million members and recognized amongst the top-quality plans nationwide.
Jenkins will replace current president and CEO, Diane P. Holder, who will retire on Dec. 31 after a distinguished 40-year career at UPMC.
Jenkins has served in numerous ascending roles at UPMC Health Plan since 1998, and in 2023, when Holder’s pending retirement was announced, she was additionally appointed as executive vice president and chief operating officer, UPMC Insurance Services Division.
