April 5, 2022 – Turn Medical, a medical device company and the manufacturer of the Pronova-O2™ Automated Prone Therapy System, has been awarded a contract with Vizient. As the nation’s largest member-driven health care performance improvement company, Vizient provides network-powered insights in the critical areas of clinical, operational, and supply chain performance and empowers members to deliver exceptional, cost-effective care.
The Pronova-O2 Automated Prone Therapy System is the first automated prone therapy system to be contracted for Vizient members. The Pronova-O2 system addresses the growing need for a safer and simpler alternative to the labor-intensive manual repositioning of patients by healthcare staff. Pronova-O2’s InteliDerm™ Powered Skin Protection System for the face and chest is a significant advancement in the care of patients in the prone position. This unique system provides active airflow to the patient’s face and chest to reduce temperature and moisture accumulation at the skin surface, two key factors in reducing pressure injury risk.
Additional key features of the Pronova-O2 system include:
- Integrated surface components that provide superior protection against caregiver and patient injury compared to other automated proning devices on the market
- A user interface designed by input from critical care nurses to allow for rapid product competency and implementation
- Weight capacity for patients up to 400 lbs
- Competitive pricing with purchase and rental options
“We proudly offer the Pronova-O2 Automated Prone Therapy System for both purchase and rental, as we deeply understand the need for a readily available solution that can help with significant hospital issues such as nurse burnout, staffing inadequacies, and clinician risk for injury,” commented Tara Psencik, Turn Medical’s CEO. “We are grateful to be the first awarded supplier of automated prone therapy to Vizient members.”
