May 26, 2022 – Tenet Health is expected to manage the new 54-bed hospital planned in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Community of Caring Hospital could open by the end of 2024.
The 181,000-square-foot facility would have 30 general-purpose care rooms, 24 critical-care units , a helicopter landing pad, 24-hour emergency room, labs and a 60,000-sqaure-foot medical office building for administrative purposes and postoperative appointments, according to developers.
Surgical services such as orthopedics, spine, robotics, general surgery, and advanced cardiac care also will be offered to patients, accord to a Tenet news release.
Patients also will have access to outpatient surgical services with affiliated ambulatory surgery centers through the Palm Beach Health Network’s relationship with United Surgical Partners International, according to the healthcare organization.
The hospital is part of Tenet’s newly developed Florida Coast Health Network, a sister health care entity to the company’s Palm Beach Health Network.
The hospital, which is expected to employ about 500 people, could be built in the late summer or fall and completed by the fourth quarter of 2024, officials said.
