September 9, 2024 – The Health Industry Distributors Association (HIDA) and Healthcare Supplier Diversity Alliance (HSDA) will jointly host a Supplier Diversity Summit on September 10, 2024, as part of HIDA’s Streamlining Healthcare Expo & Business Exchange in Dallas, Texas.
The Supplier Diversity Summit will feature educational, networking, professional development opportunities for minority-owned, women-owned, and veteran-owned manufacturers and distributors, as well as for companies that want to connect with diversity partners. Attendees will explore business opportunities that both drive sales and contribute to building a more diverse and inclusive supply chain.
The Supplier Diversity Summit will feature:
- Keynote Address by supplier diversity leader Lamont Robinson, President & CEO of Robinson LaRueCo Consulting. Robinson will discuss the business case for engaging with diverse suppliers, and how it can lead to new ideas, cost savings, and a stronger company reputation.
- A Supplier Diversity Networking Forum offering diverse-owned businesses the opportunity to have face-to face meetings with distributors, manufacturers, and integrated delivery networks every 15 minutes.
- Panel discussion on government procurement at the federal, state, and local level. Panelists will discuss the benefits of working with suppliers from various backgrounds and how it can open doors to new opportunities in government markets.
Following these sessions, the Supplier Diversity Summit will conclude with a ceremony recognizing the 2024 Owens & Minor Supplier Diversity Award winners.
