October 17, 2024- Sterile Processing Week (formerly International Central Service Week) recognizes the committed specialists who fill Sterile Processing departments and make a positive difference in patient care, according to the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA). Held annually, the week of celebration starts on the second Sunday in October (this year October 13-19) to recognize the sterile processing professionals that contribute to patient safety and quality service throughout healthcare. Sterile processing professionals ensure that hospitals and health systems have clean and sterile instruments to use on patients.
