SpendMend (Grand Rapids, MI) announced an expanded agreement with Vizient, Inc. (Irving, TX) to include new services.
Under the expanded contract, Vizient members will have access to contract pricing for SpendMend’s Medical Device Explant Tracking, which tracks explanted medical devices across multiple hospital departments, and Pharmacy Auditing.
The company says that these solutions “drive significant savings to the hospital by ensuring compliance with all favored and negotiated terms for pharmacy-related expenses.”
SpendMend already offers its Recovery Audit software and services to Vizient members at contracted pricing. In 2019 alone, SpendMend drove over $350 million in hard-dollar recoveries to a population of over 2,400 individual hospitals and healthcare facilities across the U.S., the company says.
The expanded solution offering is immediately available to the entire network of Vizient member hospitals and healthcare facilities.
