January 27, 2023 – This February during American Heart Month, the American Heart Association, devoted to a world of healthier lives for all, is teaming up with major brands around the country for the Life is Why™ campaign, a cause marketing movement supporting the Association’s life-saving heart and brain health mission. The Life is Why campaign inspires consumers to celebrate their reasons to live healthier, longer lives – by donating at point of purchase.
“The work we do at the American Heart Association to promote cardiovascular and brain health, prevent heart disease and stroke, support research and provide resources to help people live longer, healthier lives – no matter where they live – is possible because of the support of contributors to the Life is Why campaign,” said Raymond P. Vara, Jr., American Heart Association volunteer and chairman of the board of directors.
Through the Life is Why campaign, companies, including Advance Auto Parts, AT&T, Big Lots, Brighton Collectibles, CVS Health, Kirkland’s Home, Orangetheory Fitness, Pilot Co., Pure Barre, Shoe Sensation, Trifecta and Walgreens, invite their customers to make a quick and easy donation to the American Heart Association at the point-of-sale, in-store and online, depending on the retailer. The Life is Why campaign will be celebrated by retailers with in-store signage and online banner ads sharing personal stories of survival and strength, the mission of the American Heart Association and inspiring healthy habits.
Donations made through participating retailers – no matter the amount – allow the Association to support the organization’s priority issues which impact heart disease and stroke risk factors including tobacco use and vaping, high blood pressure, CPR and nutrition insecurity, as well as mental resilience.
