February 26, 2024- While virus levels still remain high across the nation, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says the worst of the season may be over. During the week ending February 10, flu hospitalization rates were about half of what they were at the season’s peak at the end of December, and COVID-19 hospitalizations were about a third lower, according to CDC data. Still, there is a relatively high risk of infection from influenza, COVID-19, and RSV, so individuals should continue to closely monitor symptoms and stay home when sick.
