November 28, 2022 – Quorum Health announced that it is selling five of its hospitals in southern Illinois.
Four are being sold to Deaconess Health System (Evansville, IN): Crossroads Community Hospital, a 47-bed facility; Heartland Regional Medical Center, a 106-bed facility; Red Bud Regional Hospital, a 25-bed facility; Union County Hospital, a 25-bed facility.
The other Gateway Regional Medical Center, a 298-bed facility with more than 700 employees, an ASC and physician practices in Granite City, Illinois will be sold to American Healthcare Systems (Glendale, CA).
The transaction is expected to close at the end of January.
