September 18, 2024- Cleveland Clinic is the No. 1 smart hospital in the world and one of the world’s top hospitals for specialized care, including the best in the world for urology, according to Newsweek. In its World’s Best Smart Hospitals rankings, Newsweek recognizes hospitals “that stand out for their use of electronic functionalities, telemedicine, digital imaging, artificial intelligence, and robotics.”
Last year, the first quantum computer in the world to be uniquely dedicated to healthcare research – the IBM Quantum System One – was installed at Cleveland Clinic. In addition to quantum, Cleveland Clinic is applying advanced technology to other areas, including patient care (i.e., timelier and more precise imaging for mammography and epilepsy care); caregiver support (i.e., pilot projects to assist physicians with notetaking); and organizational operations (i.e., more efficient management of bed availability and nurse staffing).
