October 3, 2024- Supply chains could potentially be disrupted across U.S. seaboards, but the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) said in a statement Tuesday that preliminary assessments indicate that the impact of the strike across the medical device and medicine industry “should be limited.”
HHS is coordinating with other Administration partners, including the FDA and ASPR, which together have been in touch with trade associations, distributors, and manufacturers to limit impacts on consumers, assess vulnerabilities, and identify potential shortages of lifesaving products.
