August 18, 2021 – HIDA announced today that its Streamlining Healthcare Expo & Business Exchange will now be held in an all-virtual format on October 12-15.
“In recent weeks, a number of members’ corporate travel policies have shifted in response to the Delta variant surge. While overall business and personal travel has rebounded, traveling to a conference with hundreds of people is seen as a different matter by both attendees and their companies.
“After consulting with members and HIDA leadership, it became clear that the best way for Streamlining Healthcare to offer the value and safety you’ve come to expect is to pivot to an all-virtual format,” HIDA said in an announcement.
HIDA asked those who had already signed up for the event to give the organization a 30-day grace period before requesting refunds in order to allow the HIDA team to focus on transitioning Streamlining Healthcare.
“If after that time, a full or partial refund is needed, you can expect a hassle-free, quick process. You have my commitment that no attendee will forfeit any monies already paid due to any refund policy issues,” HIDA said.
HIDA noted that those who made hotel reservations through Expovision do not need to do anything. All HIDA hotel reservations will be cancelled. However, those who made hotel reservations outside of the HIDA process will need to cancel directly with the hotel.
