September 27, 2024- HealthTrust Performance Group recently hosted HealthTrust members for a collaborative, two-day summit focused on the 340B program. The 340B program, established by Congress in 1992, mandates drug manufacturers to offer discounts to certain federally-funded clinics and hospitals—known as “covered entities”—as part of their participation in Medicaid. This initiative allows these entities to stretch federal resources, reaching more patients and enhancing service offerings.
The HealthTrust 340B Summit, which took place August 11-12, 2024, in Orlando, Florida, was designed to bring together members to connect with manufacturers and wholesalers and learn more about future opportunities and challenges in the 340B landscape.
