May 31, 2023 – Hammes Healthcare, a leading provider of consulting and project delivery services, recently opened the UR Medicine Orthopaedics & Physical Performance Surgery Center in Henrietta, New York.
The first-of-its-kind orthopaedic ambulatory surgery center is an adaptive reuse of the former Sears wing at The Marketplace Mall. The 150,000-square-foot ASC includes eight operating rooms and additional pre-and post-operative rooms to support the most complex orthopaedic surgical procedures in an ambulatory environment.
The opening of the ASC marks the completion of the first phase of the project. The second phase is a state-of-the-art motion and gait analysis lab, the CHAMPP (Center for Human Musculoskeletal Performance and Prevention) and a four-story tower comprised of exam rooms and imaging. Once completed in late 2023, the UR Medicine Orthopaedics & Physical Performance Center will be the largest and most comprehensive orthopaedic facility in the Northeastern United States.
“It has been a privilege working with UR Medicine over the past three years on this project that truly revolutionizes how we think about the delivery of outpatient orthopaedic care,” said Nancy Connolly, President of Hammes Healthcare. “We look forward to executing the final phase of the project in partnership with UR Medicine and exceptional project team members.”
