November 13, 2024- On November 20, at 1:00 PM ET, Joseph Ricci, president and CEO of the Textiles Rental Services Association (TRSA) and Devin Jopp, CEO of the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC), will participate in a virtual event to discuss the role hygienically clean reusable textiles play in preventing the spread of deadly pathogens.

Building on the findings of a recent National Academies of Sciences workshop, Ricci and Jopp will discuss the importance of hygienically clean reusable PPE in healthcare. As experts with the National Academies explained, reusable PPE and other textiles can help healthcare facilities lower operating costs, protect workers and patients with high quality and safety, and ensure stronger supply chain resiliency during public health emergencies.
Ricci and Jopp will also discuss the hygienically clean process, how laundry professionals provide infection control in their facilities, and what steps policymakers might take to encourage greater use of reusable textiles across the American healthcare system. The event will wrap up with both industry leaders taking questions from the audience.
