June 18, 2021 – Excelerant Consulting, LLC (Scottsdale, AZ) announced that Charles Young has joined its team of consultants as Partner. Young is a healthcare industry veteran who has more than three decades of healthcare-related experience in sales, marketing, and business development in the medical device and medical disposables sectors.
Most recently, Young was VP of health systems at Professional Disposable International (PDI) where he developed and managed the Health Systems team that called on the top-100 health systems in the U.S. He was previously VP of corporate accounts at Sage Products (now a division of Stryker), and has managed portfolios and relationships with some of North America’s leading healthcare organizations, including Premier, Inc., MedAssets, HealthTrust Purchasing Group, Veterans Administration hospitals, and HealthPro in Canada.
Young has negotiated and managed more than $150 million in product portfolios in multiple healthcare markets, including infection protection, wound prevention and sharps safety. He is among the patent holders on the foundation product for a core $100 million oral care line.
