May 16, 2024- Carl Meyer of Hartland, WI, was recognized at the Hire Heroes USA Second Annual Empowerment Gala with the Community Impact Award. This award spotlights the extraordinary contribution by an individual or partner in strengthening and advancing veteran and military spouse employment. Meyer, current president of The Wetrich Group, has an extensive background in health care with leadership experience ranging from technology to distribution and supplier positions. He is the creator of 100 Holes for Our Heroes benefiting Hire Heroes USA. Over the past 16 years, he has helped raise more than $1.5 million and helped place more than 1,150 veterans and military spouses in civilian jobs.
Hire Heroes USA, a national nonprofit organization that empowers U.S. military members, veterans and spouses to succeed in the civilian workforce, hosted its second annual Empowerment Gala, an event celebrating individuals and partners who have made outstanding contributions to veterans and their spouses in the transition to civilian careers.
