May 8, 2024- CVS Health has acquired tech-enabled Medicare Advantage (MA) broker Hella Health. It operates as a wholly owned insurance agency with a national platform. Hella Health CEO Rafal Walkiewicz disclosed the news via LinkedIn. Financial terms haven’t been disclosed but Walkiewicz claims it will add to CVS Health’s digital capabilities, particularly for seniors. CVS Health aims to expand its multi-payor technology platform through Hella Health to include a range of insurance offerings to provide direct-to-consumer Medicare shopping and enrollment experience.
Hella Health recommends and sells insurance products through its licensed insurance agency – audomo insurance LLC. For customers who want to talk to an agent, it partners with Smart Match Insurance Agency LLC. Hella Health’s technology delivers a personalized list of suitable Medicare options for each customer. It uses data for its initial recommendation to continue to track changes and actively monitor the Medicare marketplace for best options and it helps customers through re-enrollment or change decisions.
