August 26, 2024- Cardinal Health has opened its new Advanced Therapy Innovation Center. This new 8,000 square-foot space, located in a 172,000 square-foot Cardinal Health distribution center in La Vergne, Tennessee, provides the infrastructure and capacity to handle the logistical challenges associated with cell and gene therapies, highlighting Cardinal Health’s industry-leading capabilities in the cell and gene commercialization process.
The Advanced Therapy Innovation Center features a deep-frozen storage suite, including cryo- and ultra-low cold storage freezers to store products between -40 to -196 degrees Celsius (-40 to -320 degrees Fahrenheit.) Additionally, the space provides opportunities for collaboration and improved process design supporting the ordering, invoicing and accounts receivable process for pharmaceutical products.
