July 13, 2023 – BD announced that it is one of 200 companies named to U.S. News & World Report’s 2023-2024 “Best Companies to Work For” list.
The inaugural ranking evaluated companies based on how well they meet employees’ expectations, with measures including quality of pay and benefits, work-life balance and flexibility, job and company stability, physical and psychological comfort, belongingness and esteem, and career opportunities and professional development.
To calculate the list, U.S. News & World Report only considered companies that were a part of the Russell 1000 index as of June 2022 and had more than 75 Glassdoor reviews written in 2022. The methodology, developed with the support of a panel of six experts, also factors in data, including employee sentiment, gathered from U.S. News & World Report partners Revelio Labs and ESG Book.
This year BD was also included in the 2023 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index, named a “Noteworthy Company” in DiversityInc’s annual ranking of the top U.S. companies for diversity, and earned a perfect score as a best place to work for disability inclusion.
These recognitions reflect the company’s efforts in advancing its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy to achieve its 2030+ goals for promoting a healthy workforce and communities. These goals encompass maintaining a healthy and thriving workforce that cultivates the company’s culture of inclusion, safety, well-being, and also contributes to community and company health.
