August 24, 2020 – Penny Cermak, EVP and system CFO of Baylor Scott & White Health (Dallas, TX), plans to leave the health system effective Oct. 30. Cermak was named system CFO of Baylor Scott & White in April 2019. Before that, she was SVP and CFO for Baylor Scott & White hospitals and clinics, responsible for research, education, joint ventures and the Baylor Scott & White Quality Alliance, among other areas.
Carrol Aulbaugh will serve as the health system’s interim CEO while Baylor Scott & White launches a national search for a permanent successor. The system said Aulbaugh has more than 30 years’ worth of experience at three major health systems, including serving as CFO of Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston.
Cermak will stay with the system through the end of October to assist Aulbaugh. The health system did not share more detail on the reason behind Cermak’s departure.
