October 29, 2024- On October 28, Baxter International provided an update on its North Carolina production facility, stating in a press release that the first temporary bridge to the facility has been restored, and the company has already transported more than 825 truckloads of finished product off site and to customers. Baxter further stated that the company continues to make progress on the second temporary bridge being installed at the site, with the support of ASPR, North Carolina Department of Transportation and its local teams. This bridge, currently estimated to be completed in early November, will enable additional truck and equipment traffic to enter and leave the site.
Baxter’s goal remains to begin resuming North Cove production as soon as possible and in phases by the end of this year.
