February 8, 2021 – AliMed, Inc. (Dedham, MA) announced the release of its 2021 Rehabilitation, Orthopedics, and Skilled Nursing and Operating Room and Medical Imaging Product Sourcebooks, featuring more than 300 new products across both the acute and non-acute care markets.
The company says that many of the changes to this year’s catalogs reflect the demand shift for medical products used to help combat COVID-19, which have continued to be the most often-sourced supplies.
AliMed has addressed these critical needs with the addition of a new Emergency Preparedness category, featuring vaccine accessories, hygiene supplies, and emergency bedding, along with the expansion of its Infection Control line to add new PPE storage dispensers that provide staff and patients with immediate, facility-wide access to protective equipment to reduce infection spread.
Other new product highlights include the AliMed ONE Wireless Fall Monitoring System for fall management, which allows for safer and total patient room coverage with wireless hall alerts for quicker room identification and faster staff responsiveness. Key updates to the Diagnostics section feature new Kilogram-Only Patient Scales to help reduce weight-based medication-dosing errors and EMR-Validated Scales for direct connectivity with EMR systems to reduce data transmission errors.
