February 16, 2024- Long COVID remains an unsolved national health crisis, with 1 in 9 adults continuing to experience symptoms after an initial COVID-19 infection, according to the CDC. The symptoms often impact an individuals’ daily life. To support and bolster Long COVID research efforts, the National Institute of Health (NIH) is investing $515 million over the next four years to the Researching COVID to Enhance Recovery (RECOVER) Initiative, which is a nationwide program for Long COVID research. The RECOVER Initiative aims to fully understand and treat patients with Long COVID.
