$300M health care supply organization CEO retires, successor named

October 16, 2023- John Streger will become CEO of LeeSar and Cooperative Services of Florida, effective Nov. 20, after the retirement of CEO Bob Boswell. LeeSar and Cooperative Services of Florida are health care supply chain organizations. LeeSar is a nonprofit, with nearly $299.67 million in revenue in 2021, according to public tax filings.

Streger has more than 30 years of experience in health care supply chain and group purchasing. Prior to the appointment, Streger was on the leadership team at Vizient. At Vizient, Streger served in two capacities, as vice president of strategic sourcing partnerships and programs and as CEO of the regional group purchasing organization covering 10 states in the Midwest.

Streger will succeed Bob Boswell, who is retiring after six years of “exceptional leadership and dedication to the organization, and an impressive healthcare career spanning more than 45 years,” the organizations says.

Cooperative Services of Florida says it is a regional group-purchasing organization focused on aggregating members’ needs to provide stronger contracts that lower costs for medical and pharmaceutical supplies, technologies, and services.
